BetProtocol turned to social media to rhetorically ask stakeholders why they bother yield farming when there was a so much better way to do things, followed by the statement that DeFi is coming to the platform.

It’s anyone’s guess how DeFi would be implemented into BetProtocol, a company that has built proprietary solutions for the blockchain gaming sector, and specifically a dedicated software for companies interested in running sportsbooks, casinos or esports bookmakers.

At a time when gambling is tipped to benefit from the upheavals in the DeFi sector, making the move looks the right way to go for BetProtocol.

It has already launched its own proprietor gaming software but adding DeFi could expand the scope of operation and monetisation. BetProtocol is also one of the first companies, alongside WINk, to embrace DeFi as a solution.

In the meantime, leading blockchain gaming companies such as Bitcasino, 1xBit, and FortuneJack have all focused on a more traditional approach to the sector.

BetProtocol is still a comparative minnow and it doesn’t command the same breadth of operation as rivals such as FunFair Technologies. Yet, the company is determined to establish new revenue channels and push on.
