Crypto to power major esports tournament

Verasity has procured the services of Nathan Schmitt and Kevin Susanto, who are established CS:GO players with a solid following of over two million fans globally. Both players have signed long-term contracts with Verasity.

The company is now in the process of obtaining a licence from Curacao, and in clarifying the nature of the VRA token, company CEO RJ Mark Hain has explained that the asset had nothing to do with the Brave browser's Basic Attention Token (BAT) to which it has been compared.

Hain said that the company's VRA token was fundamentally different. If anything, Verasity is now trying to capitalise on the interest in esports which has boomed during the COVID-19 lockdown.

He did mention that apart from gaming, Verasity will also investigate other segments such as sports, with normality now resuming. Meanwhile, interest in esports has definitely been noticeable in the crypto community.

For starters, Cloudbet and FortuneJack both hurried to expand on and introduce various esports markets, including in-play betting. Esports as a whole has been able to provide flagging sportsbooks with new and exciting markets to extend to punters.

According to EveryMatrix, a provider of odds for sports and esports, the most popular and bet-on market has been FIFA, a video game developed by EA which emulates soccer.

You can place your bets on various esports competitions at many sportsbooks, including Sportsbet.io, Cloudbet, and FortuneJack, all of which offer various incentives for participation.
