Crypto.com partners with Coca-Cola for FIFA World Cup Qatar NFTs

Coca-Cola and digital artist GMUNK have created 10,000 unique NFTs to memorialise the tournament.

Singapore-based crypto exchange Crypto.com has teamed up with Coca-Cola and digital artist GMUNK to create a series of NFTs celebrating the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The NFT collection titled ‘Piece of Magic’ will be available to football fans across the globe after signing up for a Crypto.com NFT platform account.

Fans are required to register on Coca-Cola’s Fanzon page and click on an NFT banner to give themselves a chance of owning a Piece of Magic NFT.

While Crypto.com will develop and host the NFT platform, the exchange and Coca-Cola will work closely with GMUNK. The digital artist has more than 20 years of experience and will create approximately 10,000 unique NFTs to be launched based on ‘heatmaps’ from tournament matches.

The plan to combine digital art and football is part of both Crypto.com and Coca-Cola’s aim to help deliver memorable ‘magical’ moments for football fans during the 2022 World Cup.

“At its core, Coca-Cola ‘Piece of Magic’ uses football data as our paintbrush, defining densities, behaviors and applications of color to shape and create an immersive piece of art that embraces the spirit of football and depicts a visual story unique to each match”, said GMUNK.

Crypto.com’s chief marketing officer Steven Kalifowitz sees the move as a “privilege” in memorializing “historical matches that will forever be captured on the blockchain”.
