ConsenSys ties in with NACL esports

As a result, the company is launching an ethereum based esports platform, which will allow the league to streamline its operation and optimise reporting problems in the tournament ecosystem.

The NACL is the first league to build a product that will push forward with a competitive video gaming product, with the estimated viewership numbers for the league now reaching 500,000 in just six months.

Presently, the league runs multiple competitions across Fortnite, League of Legends, NBA 2K20, and Madden, among other worthwhile competitive video gaming disciplines.

ConsenSys hopes to help the NACL optimise and streamline many of its processes. For starters, the platform should allow NACL to analyze better the performance of each individual player and possibly reward success a little more accurately.

Another highlight is the addition of a streamlined payment method which will make it simple for the tournament hosts to pay out winners.

ConsenSys is the latest to make a foray into esports following numerous moves in the igaming space in recent weeks. Wagerr, for example, has relied on esports to provide a diversified and resilient product. 1xBit recently launched an esports offer, acknowledging the immense interest in the segment, and, earlier this year, we saw FortuneJack add an esports solution, catching up to the rest of the blockchain-powered operators interested in providing traditional and tech-savvy players with a different and equally-rewarding product to try.

Cloudbet has also released a touched-up “next-gen” website to allow it to more conveniently and efficiently offer quality betting content, such as live esports betting.

Even though still considered a comparatively small segment, esports betting has been picking up speed at a strong overall pace.
