A statement was released today confirming the technical issue has been fixed.

Cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase has fixed its technical problem that halted payments and withdrawals from US bank accounts.

“We're currently experiencing technical issues creating ACH transfers. Rest assured, your funds are safe.

“Our team will provide an update here and on our Status Page when full functionality resumes”, the company said on Twitter, when the issue was discovered.

Posting on its system status page, Coinbase declared it was “currently unable to take payments or make withdrawals involving US bank accounts”.

After investigating the issue and monitoring the results, on Sunday, October 3, the exchange announced the incident has been rectified.

“We’ve fully resolved this issue and ACH transfers are now processing. We apologize for the inconvenience”, read a further Twitter announcement.
