Coachella and OpenSea release NFT collection

The collection will offer exclusive experiences with an artist collaboration collection still to be announced

Coachella, one of America’s most iconic music festivals, has teamed up with NFT marketplace OpenSea to launch a NFT festival experience called Coachella Keepsakes.

The series kicked off this week with The VIP Pass + Oasis Lounge Keepsake which is priced at $1,499 and offers a 2024 VIP Festival Pass and exclusive access to the Oasis Lounge, a tranquil retreat offering premium amenities.

After the initial launch, 1000 assets will be available for purchase followed by two rollouts of additional collections in the coming months.

The Canvas Welcome Box Keepsake, scheduled for release on March 25, will offer exclusive merchandise and access to VIP areas.

A planned third drop, which will include an artist collaboration, is to also be announced this month.

Sam Schoonover, Innovation Lead for Coachella, said: “Our partnership with OpenSea marks a significant step towards revolutionizing the way fans interact with Coachella.”

“By turning digital tokens into tangible experiences, we are creating a new paradigm where ownership extends beyond attendance.”

Devin Finzer, CEO of OpenSea, said: “Our partnership with Coachella signifies a significant milestone in the evolution of NFT technology. Together, we are breaking new ground and reimagining the festival experience for a digital-savvy audience.”

Coachella previously released an NFT collection with FTX in 2022, with 10 NFTs also offering a lifetime ticket to the festival.
