Cloudbet builds portfolio with live esports betting

The company’s next-gen website now supports in-play and live stream betting via cryptocurrencies on popular esports such as FIFA 20 and CS: GO. Esports, the company said in an official release, is just one of the many new functionalities featured on the platform.

Cloudbet’s new website, which is now in the process of replacing the legacy domain, also bets on transparency, with a dedicated Discord channel where customers can swap betting tips and devise strategies as a community on how to beat the Bet of the Day focused on the esports segment.

According to Cloudbet, citing figures by respected consultants Eilers and Krejcik Gaming, esports betting is tipped to reach $13 billion in revenue by 2020, double the amount wagered in 2016.

Cloudbet also shared an interesting statistic; esports amounted to a fifth of all bets placed on the platform in April, with FIFA 20, CS:GO and Dota 2 generating the most action.

Commenting on this development, a Cloudbet spokesperson had this to say:

“Our figures indicate clearly that there is strong demand and we will continue to invest in making our platform the best place to bet on esports with crypto. Our aim as a responsive and innovative operator is to recognise what our customers want and deliver it to them.”

The company offers over 60 daily esports markets as well as a variety of other esports betting products.
