Bettors are shunning the Saturday showdown between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Junior due to the level of uncertainty surrounding the fight.
Cloudbet said the inclusion of bizarre undercards, including NBA professional Nate Robinson and Disney Channel star Jake Paul, has added to Cloudbet consumers' skepticism about the upcoming fight.
To compare the current hype for the Tyson v Roy Jr bout, Cloudbet reminded consumers of the clash between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather in 2017, which was billed as the “biggest fight in combat sport history.”
That event justly earned its moniker, “The Money Fight,” because it generated $280 million for Mayweather and $130 million for McGregor.
Some are still hopeful that the upcoming Tyson vs Roy Jr fight, which will take place at Staples Center, Los Angeles, could prove a worthwhile betting opportunity.
Yet, Cloudbet bettors seem to think otherwise, and while the fight will be entertaining to watch it would not provide much in the way of betting opportunities, the community seems to think.
According to Cloudbet's spokesperson, the community sees the upcoming bout as a “seniors' day” event and would not want to get tangled with it.
Unlike previous promotions in the past, featuring UFC bouts, Cloudbet is also a little reluctant to offer any particular promotions for this one.
All in all, the platform is not to be blamed as even the organizers have drafted the rules to be a little ambiguous.
Cloudbet remains open for betting action and so do SportsBet.io if you do decide to go ahead and bet anyway.
