CasinoFair: Fun Mountain Review

What is Fun Mountain?

Fun Mountain is CasinoFair’s latest release which takes inspiration from the much-loved board game Snakes and Ladders to bring a first-class progressive-win gaming experience which seems – at least to – to be yet another industry first.

CasinoFair and its B2B partner, FunFair Technologies, have a knack of introducing brand new game concepts to the blockchain market, and we’re sure customers will greatly enjoy this latest offering, just as we’ve seen the success of other boundary-pushing blockchain games Crypto Hunter 2080 and Keno Kong.

The premise of Fun Mountain is simple yet addictive, likely explaining the global success of its serpentine board game cousin. Players must simply climb the mountain track to its peak, or as near to it as they can, avoiding the jeopardy of TNT traps threatening to blow you away, and seeking out the springboard boosts for a fast track to big wins in – you guessed it – FUN, CasinoFair’s proprietary cryptocurrency and gambling token. The higher you reach, the more you win; it’s that simple.

Players will roll their first die at the base of the mountain, which will of course be as random and as secure a roll as you can get on the blockchain with FunFair’s Fate Channel and RNG solution. From here, the springboards and TNT squares are clearly marked so you can fully immerse in the game and tension as the die comes to rest.

We lucked out on our first roll with a springboard that immediately bounced us up to the bigger wins at the next tier and granted us an additional bonus roll, should we choose not to collect our winnings. This is a nice touch and allows for different gameplay styles for those looking for the big wins at the summit or those looking to collect the smaller, more consistent wins at the lower altitudes.
Should you not land on either a six or a springboard and avoid being blasted away by TNT the game will come to an end and you’ll either be ‘Mined Out’, losing your stake on your first roll or you’ll take your latest winnings where you stood.
The whole experience does feel very innovative and we can see how it might appeal to those that want progressive gaming experience but with a more immersive look and feel that comes from Fun Mountain’s premium game mechanics and graphics.

We’ve heard too many times how many crypto-gamblers want something fresh and new, not the old and stuffy casino experiences that are too often rolled out by the bigger game developers and casinos. Fortunately, CasinoFair is delivering the former here and have further cemented its position as one of the true gambling innovators.
From a longevity standpoint, Fun Mountain delivers playful yet first-rate graphics and animation which has a slight cartoony feel while still appealing to those who want more realism in their games. The ergonomics are tight, with clear signing of possible game outcomes, wins and potential hazards. We picked it up in no time and its intuitive layout will be accessible to the masses despite the original nature of the game in its casino environment.

As with many of CasinoFair’s recent titles, they’ve pushed the boat out on max winnings after feedback from players looking for VIP experiences. Fun Mountain allows for initial bets from 500 to 5,000 FUN which could lead to 10 different winning tiers.
Max betting will put the jackpot at 500,000 FUN for those who reach the top, but the more achievable winning tiers below this are nothing to be sniffed at with 250,000 available to those fall just short of the summit, and roughly 5x winnings on offer for the mid-mountain climbers.
Fun Mountain has a theoretical RTP with optimal strategy of 95.52% which seems reasonable for a title with such variation in potential wins. It certainly won’t deter those looking for the top prizes and we found the quality of the gameplay to more than make-up for the house edge.

The judgement

Fun Mountain is yet another quality title which further complements CasinoFair’s burgeoning games portfolio. We’re always excited to try out, and hopefully win, on new game genres and this one does not disappoint. It has an appeal to the masses which can only drive adoption, while also offering a point of difference to crypto and traditional gamblers looking for a new experience with the added benefits of provable fairness and instant FUN wins.
