Buterin looks to ETH 2.0 with optimism

Vitalik Buterin, the currency founder and inventor, is optimistic about the future. The highly-anticipated ETH 2.0 is in the works and, many would like to believe, is pending imminent release.

Buterin beamed optimism during a recent AMA on Reddit. Discussing the new and improved ecosystem, he used internet slang to summarise the key points. It would all be faster; merge would be faster, PoS would be faster and consumers will enjoy 100K TPS faster.

Congestion has been an issue on the Ethereum network. The ecosystem long turned to various solutions in a bid to boost its discoverability and attract more consumers.

The launch of CryptoKitties put a major dent in the operational capacity of the ecosystem, albeit it led to a huge influx of stakeholders who were more than happy to trade and nurture digital moggies.

The DeFi boom has also led to congestion and an overall slowdown, with fees soaring. Yet, Buterin is confident that come ETH 2.0, all of the mentioned ailments will be quickly dealt with.

Improving the overall system capacity means that crypto gaming sites the like of FortuneJack, 1xBit and Bitcasino.io will be able to entertain players to even quicker deposits and withdrawals and ditch any fees that congestion may now be forcing on stakeholders.
