BlockFi reports 30% of US women participate in crypto space

A new study by BlockFi has revealed that 30% of US women are ready to enter crypto space in 2022.

The study covered a total of 1,031 female respondents in the US. Crypto awareness among female consumers is also on the rise, as some 92% of the surveyed people confirmed that they had heard about cryptocurrencies or altcoins.

In fact, 14% see bitcoin (BTC) as a sustainable long-term investment with another 4% thinking that NFT may prove just as much.

“It’s very exciting to know that women are becoming more aware of the benefits of owning crypto and expressing interest in working in the crypto sector. Looking towards the future, my hope is that crypto will become an essential part of everyone’s financial wellness plan”, said BlockFi founder and SVP of operations Flori Marquez.

Meanwhile, 24% of the surveyed US women said they already owned crypto and 70% of those owning crypto identified themselves as HODLers (the term used to describe crypto owners who don’t sell their crypto at the first market swing).

Meanwhile, 50% of the surveyed women said that they knew how to purchase cryptocurrency. BTC is the most popular crypto, with 71% of US women recognizing the asset and dogecoin ranking second with 42%.

According to one in ten women interviewed, the crypto sector presented some of the best employment opportunities as well. Ten per cent of all women said that they would be looking to apply to some crypto-related job position in the next 12 months or so.  Elsewhere, 43% of Singaporeans already own cryptocurrency.

In the meantime, if you already own crypto and wish to spend it, we recommend turning to websites such as Bitcasino, 1xBit or FortuneJack.
