The 20BTC total comes after the company worked with the Giving Block and Pioneer Club to host a charity poker tournament.
The total amount raised in recent weeks across various initiatives, including the tournament, is worth approximately EUR162,000. Its Loyalty Club initiative and the “Crypto vs. COVID-19” effort featuring a virtual concert also contributed to the fund.
Bitcasino isn’t done yet though, appealing to players to consider donating any leftover loyalty rewards they may have to help with the relief effort, while on May 16, a number of crypto personalities will partake in a further series of poker tournaments, with Litecoin creator Charlie Lee and Bitcoin magazine CEO David Bailey joining as well.
Commenting on these developments, Bitcasino.io Director of Casino Tauri Tiitsaar had this to say:
“Now’s the time to band together with both the crypto community in support of those who are most vulnerable to the threat of COVID-19.”
Tiitsaar expressed his hopes that more efforts to tackle COVID-19 will come out of the crypto community, bringing a positive change in the world. Overall, 50 crypto personalities are heading for the upcoming tournaments.
