BitBoss brings blockchain to casino floor

The company’s CEO, Matt Dickson, speaking to Bitcoin Association, said he plans on innovating the applications of blockchain by “digitalising the physical casino experience,” and creating a more authentic, uninterrupted gameplay for both online and land-based players.

To bridge the two segments, BitBoss has developed the “Bridge” software solution which costs only $100 and works on any slot machine, allowing players to connect their phones to said slot machine.

In terms of payments, the casino’s tokens will be transferred into digital form as cryptocurrency on the blockchain and stored in a digital wallet. Players will have the freedom to move from one slot machine to the next while at the land-based casino, Dickson clarified, and use the tokens they have first purchased at the casino and then digitalised.

Talking about the product, Dickson described the user interface as “backend agnostic,” hinting that any casino can integrate the solution and let players use it without requiring any advance knowledge or tech-savviness on the part of the player.

Dickson has also suggested that some casinos might even try to “cheat” people, but with the use of BitBoss’ Bridge, this will be eliminated. Overall, he believes that Bridge would be a great way to start showing players the inherent value of blockchain solutions.

Many casinos have already adopted blockchain as their basis of operation, offering quality gaming products online. Operators such as Bitcasino.io, Cloudbet, WINk, and 1xBit have been some of the most successful crypto projects, while others have forayed into the land-based space, such as CasinoCoin.

They have all adopted cryptocurrencies as their go-to play and deposit currency and most of these operators have been online for years now, inspiring trust in their respective communities.
