Binance launches educational blockchain program in Kazakhstan

The program will also provide the education materials and support needed for the course.

Crypto exchange Binance has launched an educational program in Kazakhstan.

The scheme will provide blockchain training to more than 40,000 students at colleges and universities across the country.

To support the project, Binance has partnered with the Blockchain Center research laboratory established by the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Education, and the Center for the Development of Payment and Financial Technologies of the National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK).

Released under a memorandum of cooperation, Binance Kazakhstan general manager Zhaslan Madiyev will sign the project.

“We support Kazakhstan’s goal to become a leading player in digital technologies which would not be possible without increasing education and blockchain adoption around the country”, said Binance Asia regional head Gleb Kostarev.

As part of the initiative, Binance will provide educational materials and support for the basic course on blockchain and compliance.

As it stands, Kazakhstan is one of the first countries to add a blockchain curriculum to university educational programs.

The program is dedicated to the idea that “professionals with the knowledge of blockchain, digital assets and compliance will become a resource for the global blockchain industry.”
