BetProtocol taps Band Protocol for esports oracles

So far, over 50,000 users have registered at BetProtocol, the proprietary platform that supports over 12 gambling operators in the crypto gambling and betting space. BetProtocol has signed partnership with Bistox Games, Hodlbet and and the list of partners is quickly growing.

Band Protocol will play the role of a “launch partner” for BetProtocol long-anticipated esports betting product. BandChain is connected with the API of trusted providers, offering BetProtocol a reliable feed of the available data.

Furthermore, BetProtocol hopes that by tapping into Band Protocol's solution, the company will unlock what it describes as a multi-billion dollar market.

Band Protocol's CEO & Co-founder, Soravis Srinawakoon, had this to say:

“Band Protocol supports all smart contract platforms and any type of decentralized application ranging from DeFi, gaming, prediction, betting and more.”

He was joined in by BetProtocol CEO and co-Founder, Rui Teixeira, who added:

“Our long-term goal is to facilitate the decentralization of betting markets. This partnership goes a long way to enhancing the options our operators have to receive and utilize Esports and sports data, across a wide array of use cases.”

Esports remains one of the still untapped into elements of the gambling experience. During the COVID-19 lockdown, there has been a significant spike in the volume of esports bets, but perhaps not enough to carry on the industry on its own.

Nevertheless, many companies, including Cloudbet, FortuneJack and, not least Wagerr, bolstered their offer to feature more esports solutions during the pandemic.
