BetDEX secures Irish license ahead of Women’s Soccer World Cup

BetDEX is the first fully-regulated sports betting platform in the Web3 space

Blockchain-based sports betting exchange BetDEX has acquired an Irish license, which means that BetDEX is now fully operational in Ireland, just in time for the highly anticipated Women's Soccer World Cup. The countdown to the kickoff has begun, as fans eagerly back their beloved Irish women's team.

The Irish supporters are urged to seize this opportunity and place their bets before the much-awaited tournament commences. As the adrenaline builds up, football aficionados across the nation are gearing up to showcase their unwavering support for the Irish team.

BetDEX is a blockchain-based sports betting exchange built on the open-sourced Monaco protocol. As a fully non-custodial platform, BetDEX never holds or touches customers' money, ensuring enhanced security and transparency.

BetDEX holds a fully licensed and regulated status by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, ensuring compliance and trustworthiness for its users.

In other news, BetDEX also announced that it has partnered with NFT platform DRiP for an exciting legendary NFT drop. Any DRiP channel subscriber with a matched trade on BetDEX's site will qualify for the NFTs, set to feature an iconic athlete.

The drop was scheduled for July 14, alongside BetDEX's Wimbledon Grand Slam Giveaway offering participants a chance to win $1,000 by topping the trading volume.

BetDEX is confident that decentralized betting will become mainstream. The platform, fully non-custodial and now licensed both on the Isle of Man and in Ireland, launched on Solana mainnet back in November 2022, witnessing encouraging trends with hundreds of bettors participating in pre-match World Cup wagers.

BetDEX's team, with vast experience in the sports betting industry, sees web3 and sports betting as a perfect match, solving long-standing issues like fragmented liquidity pools and limited betting options for winning players.

Looking ahead to 2023, BetDEX plans to focus on enhancing the user experience, increasing liquidity, and expanding its sports coverage and in-play markets.

BetDEX launched its open beta in November 2022 aided by an impressive £21m seed investment, becoming the first fully-regulated sports betting platform in the Web3 space.

The platform, co-founded by Nigel Eccles of FanDuel, received a license from the Isle of Man government under the Isle of Man Online Gambling Regulation Act, enabling it to accept wagers from early-access players in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa.
