WhiteBit named the club’s official cryptocurrency partner on a three-year deal.

Spanish giants Barcelona have named WhiteBit as its official cryptocurrency partner until 2025.

The Ukrainian cryptocurrency firm has agreed a three-year deal which will see it gain brand exposure across the club’s LED screen inventory as well as across all of its sports teams.

Barcelona vice president of marketing Juli Guiu said: “We are pleased to announce this new partnership, another example of the club’s commitment to innovation.

“Additionally, this is a partnership that will help us to continue growing and developing our global commercial expansion strategy, strengthening the club further while remaining a benchmark in an increasingly competitive field.”

WhiteBit’s logo will also feature prominently on Barcelona’s esports clothing and feature heavily on background boards during its matches and competitions.

WhiteBit chief executive Volodymyr Nosov added: “The start of our warm relationship with the legendary Barça as an official crypto exchange partner is a significant step for the community as a whole, and for us it is also a great pride and responsibility.”

Barcelona – who currently sit top of the table in Spain’s top division – already have a partnership with fellow blockchain brand Chiliz to supply fan tokens to its global reach of fans.
