Bakkt teams up with Caesars in Las Vegas

Caesars Entertainment and crypto loyalty platform Bakkt will collaborate on a range of loyalty and crypto experiences in Las Vegas and beyond.

Bakkt Holdings and Caesars Entertainment have teamed up to create new loyalty experiences, owing to the former’s expertise in driving engagement and customer retention.

The partnership will debut at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s live entertainment venue, the Zappos Theater, which will be renamed as Bakkt Theater.

The partnership will allow Caesars Rewards members to redeem Rewards Credits through the Bakkt Crypto Rewards solution if they choose to. This is still subject to regulatory approval, the companies said in a press release.

“We’re thrilled to solidify our relationship with Caesars with the naming of Bakkt Theater and the integration of Bakkt Crypto Rewards into the Caesars Rewards program”, said Bakkt chief marketing and sales officer Mark Elliot.

The partnership is partly to keep pace with the digital economy, which has been transforming how land-based casinos and entertainment venues operate in the US and beyond.

The Caesars Rewards program sought to bring both land-based and online casino experiences together, while also adding the hospitality angle to it.

Caesars senior vice president of loyalty and CRM Megan Rodriguez said that Caesars Entertainment is constantly on the lookout to craft new ways to help engage with customers and offer them a better Rewards experience across the board.

Presently, the company has more than 60m members worldwide, making it one of the largest hospitality and gaming loyalty programs available.

The loyalty program is tied to both the hospitality sector, as mentioned, but also the dedicated igaming and sportsbook operations maintained by the brand across the US.

Bakkt is further pleased with the opportunity to promote its brand and name through one of Las Vega Strip’s best entertainment venues.

Bakkt and Caesars have not detailed the full partnership in terms of what the crypto offerings would be, possibly awaiting a final go-ahead by regulators. More details should be forthcoming before long.
