Apple Pay enables BitPay payments

BitPay has confirmed that its Bitcoin cards will now be accessible within the Apple Wallet, granting consumers a way to make purchases via Apple Pay.

Having Apple Pay makes it easier for consumers to make the most out of the BitPay Card and make purchases in everyday life.

Commenting on the decision, BitPay chief executive Stephen Pair said: “We have thousands of BitPay Wallet app customers using the BitPay Card who are always looking for new places and ways to spend their crypto.”

Google and Samsung Pay are next on the list as the company wants to be integrated with all leading payment options.

Via the company's Prepaid MasterCard, customers will be able to use their cryptocurrency within the Apple Wallet giving everyone a new way to spend their Bitcoin. The price of BTC has surged to $50,000 and receded again in the matter of hours.

Yet, everyone has been spending more on Bitcoin of late. MasterCard confirmed that it is also launching support for cryptocurrencies, following in the footsteps of PayPal. Tesla recently shed $1.5bn to acquire Bitcoin, pushing the price up.

With so many payment options now supporting crypto, making a purchase is easier than ever. Even crypto and Bitcoin casinos are happy to welcome innovative payment methods.
