Our attempt to double up a starting bankroll of 20,000 $FUN took a bit of a hit last time out at the roulette table.
During the session, we dropped a quarter of our bankroll, leaving us at just over 15,000 $FUN.
But the bad run of luck did remind us of something important: gambling will always bring its ups and downs, so your best bet is picking a casino which guarantees the fun.
CasinoFair has been working hard on this over the past few years.
The latest addition has been the introduction of avatars, which give you a chance to pick a digital alter-ego while you play.
The avatars also make sense from a security point of view; recent high profile crypto scams suggest it is always a good idea to have safety front of mind, and by concealing ETH address on-site, FunFair is further bolstering these measures.
We selected our avatar and got ready for our next session.
A quick look at the latest funstats data showed that Wheel of Fun: Fairground had a positive return-to-play over the past 24 hours, so we thought we’d give it a spin.
With our bankroll sitting at 15,640 $FUN, we were hoping for better luck than during our roulette session.
The great thing about Wheel of Fun is that you not only set your stake, you also set your level of risk. We started out with some 50/50s at 200 $FUN per spin.
After a handful of spins, we were just about where we started, so we switched things up a little.
This time we would place 400 $FUN bets attempting to land bigger wins, with just a 25 percent chance of hitting.
But we ran straight into one of our worst runs of luck to date. Spinning 13 times without once hitting our 25 percent chance. We put the results into a probability calculator, and found that our bad run only happens roughly once every 50 times someone plays the same way we did.
With our bankroll now about half of what we started with, we needed a change in luck, and quick.
Check in tomorrow for the next part of the challenge, and remember, always gamble responsibly and only with money you can afford to lose.
