Next up in our series of CasinoFair game reviews is the blockchain gaming pioneer’s latest title and cascading slot Banana Blast.

What is Banana Blast?

Banana Blast is CasinoFair’s first fully-fledged cascading slot provided by its B2B partner FunFair Technologies and yet another strong addition to its rapid production line of 2020.

Cascading slots differ to traditional slots in that they see symbols falling from above, with wins gained from grouped symbols rather than lines, as you would see in one of their other slots, such as Cyber Hunter 2080.

The cascade motion feels much more akin to the video game world, and with the likes of Candy Crush doing so well, it makes perfect sense to bring that inspiration to the blockchain casino table.

We’re big fans of the unique theme as well. The supermarket-sweep environment certainly evokes a sense of nostalgia and fits well with the wider game concept.

Gameplay

So as just mentioned, Banana Blast will transport you to, what would usually be, the mundane routine of the supermarket. However, in this slot you’ll have never had so much fun checking out your groceries.

Your aim is to burst a combination of three or more fruit combinations on the conveyor. These can be in horizontal or vertical directions and with each burst, you’ll ramp up the round’s multiplier and see more fruit tumble into the empty spaces, potentially blasting more fruit and further hiking the multiplier.

The round ends when no more combinations can be found and that’s when the checkout will total up your bill. However, you’ll be pleased to know that this will be paid straight to you in FUN so no need to get your wallet out.

There’s a total of nine fruits in all to burst, along with the banana wild which subs in for any and all fruits on the checkout. Lowly wins can be bagged by hitting the watermelon and the grape. Bigger wins will come when you squash the higher paying symbols including the apples, oranges and cherries. While landing five bananas will pay out the biggest in-game jackpot.

Once again, CasinoFair, in partnership with FunFair, has delivered a casino title that can match any first-rate developer out there, and Banana Blast would sit comfortably alongside other smash-hit cascade slots such as Play’n GO’s Reactoonz or Big Time Gaming’s Bonanza in terms of gameplay and aesthetics.

The soundtrack fits well with the theme, bringing back the monophonic tones used in the supermarkets of the 80s and 90s, while the visual effects are first-rate and bring to life the big, bursting wins.

Payback

Banana Blast has a theoretical RTP of 96% which follows the CasinoFair trend of delivering players consistent and generous chances to win when playing for a prolonged period.

Individual blast wins are best found when matching apples (30x) and oranges (20x), but for the ultimate supermarket sweep, blast the five banana wilds for a massive 235 times payout. This could see a payout of 235,000 FUN from a max bet of 1,000 FUN, serious crypto cash indeed.

And with the nature of the rising multiplier and chance for numerous wins within one round, the total wins could be off the scales.

The judgement

It’s always pleasing to see a new casino genre brought to the blockchain space and given the treatment it deserves, and that’s exactly what CasinoFair has delivered here with its first cascade slot. FunFair should be commended for producing Banana Blast and we’re sure players will be queuing up at the checkouts for their chance to blast some fruit and claim those mega FUN wins.
