Decentralized gaming platform Ajuna has raised $5m in a private funding round led by blockchain-focused venture capital firm CMCC Global.
Ajuna will use the funds to help projects build and launch successfully on its network.
The firm aims to support the expansion of its company by providing additional game engines and expanding on Polkadot, Ethereum and Polygon.
CMCC Global founding partner Charlie Morris said: “We are thrilled to be leading this funding round into Ajuna. The platform empowers studios to incorporate immutable digital assets into their games, resulting in powerful new experiences for gamers.”
Ajuna’s $5m private financing follows a previous seed round that saw the start-up raise $2m, led by the investment firm Fundamental Labs, OKX Blockdream Ventures, Aminoca Brands and Signum Captial.
The announcement comes at the same time as the launch of the start-up’s NFT game collection Awesome Ajuna Avatars inspired by the firm's flagship game BattleMogs.
